For the embiggens competition, I was going to bring back !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but it was basically just going to be a longwinded rant on how you should do some self-reflection on your actions, thoughts, and values every once in a while and ask yourself if you’re an asshole, why that might be, how to work on it, et cetera.
Anyway, have one of the best pictures I think I’ve taken.

That’s some incredible depth-of-field you’ve got going on. Not even my $120 camera can pull that off (though it’s pretty good at landscape shots.)

Thanks! It’s a Nikkor 35 mm f/1.8 lens, which, if you’re getting into DSLRs and all that, is probably one of the first lenses you should buy. Cost me $225 CAD.

I’ll have to keep my eyes open for it, but most DSLRs seem to be quite pricey...

Yeah, it’s not a cheap hobby. I bought my DSLR (a D70s) a few years ago with a kit lens for $300. It was a few years old, but it came with two lenses and a bag. Just have to keep your eyes peeled for used gear.

What is embiggening? and how do I contribute to this craze?

In my experience, nobody needs to ask themselves if they are an asshole. the answer is always yes. Myself included.
